Well, It's Been a While Since I've Blogged, So Here. A Post.

Well, the past few weeks have been fun. We've done a ton of stuff with Claire, like going to the grandparent's house for a couple of days (where I got hooked on puzzles-- I'm on my 2nd one from home now...). We ate a lot of good food and had fun going to lunch, to the space museum, and hanging out with some gals I haven't seen in a while :-)

We also went to Cedar Point! Claire went on all the rollercoasters with us, except for the top thrill dragster. Only Abby and I went on that (yelling "Yeah Toast!" at the top of course). The day was not too hot and pretty breezy, and the longest we waited for a coaster was like 1 hour, so it was a good day to go! Seemed like Claire had fun!

Besides that, I've been working and figuring out what I want to do with my life, asking plenty of teachers for advice and stuff. Seems like everyone says I should just shadow a couple teachers and stuff. So I'm planning on getting something together for that soon. We'll see!

I've listened to all the LT sermons -- maybe I'll listen to them all again! They haven't been putting up any more since the 16th of June, so hopefully the audio is working and all and they're just a little behind :-) The sermons have definitely blessed my life -- I think it would be good to listen to them again :-D

Aaaand... I've run out of things to say, except that I'm SUPER excited for this Saturday, because I'll get my fix of h2o people! mid-summer bash!

Ok, off to work! Time to clean those dishes! hahah...

So The Past Few Days Have Been Eventful...

I have actually cleaned my room! It's not completely clean yet, but the piles are smaller and I actually do intend to get rid of them very soon...

I finished Animal Farm and have since moved on to The Odyssey "for a bit of light reading" to quote Hermione.

I had an interesting conversation with Kaite a couple nights ago -- we stayed up till midnight *oooohhh*.... Basically just talking about majors and certificates and what I really want to do when I grow up. I'm not sure I have a good grasp on that yet, especially since I cringe every time I think about myself being a teacher. I don't know if it's because I don't know how to be an awesome teacher yet, or if it's because I'll hate teaching. Kinda a distinction I need to figure out.

So once again I'm spending a summer researching my passions -- after talking about how much you like languages, you eventually start to get bored with the idea. Sad, innit? But I think it'll be good. But I don't like having important stuff like majors up in the air like this. Hopefully God will tell me stuff soooooonn.!

Oh! I'm so glad Kelsey gave the link to LT sermons, I've been listening to those for the past two days. Sooo awesome :-)

:-D I'm saving the big news for last! Guess who is at our house right now! Claire! She'll be here till pretty much the end of July, so that's sweet. I was working tonight when she arrived, but when I got home, she was still awake, so I got to meet her! I think this will be fun. I'm looking forward to actually hanging out tomorrow :-)

I think that's it for now. I'm closing on Friday and opening Saturday, so I'll get like, 4-5 hours of sleep, so that'll be awesome! Not! I'll survive though.

I should go to bed...

There's Not Really Anything New... But... Here. A Post.

So. I've worked Tuesday, Wednesday, adn today, and I'm working again tomorrow and Saturday. Then I get Sun, Mon and Tues off, so that's sweetness :-)

yesterday I was closing on dining room, and 5 minutes before we closed, around 20 people walked in. We had one register open and so people were still ordering five minutes after we closed too... 15 people stayed "for here" so I couldn't close very well last night. Bummer. I was tempted to just tell everyone to go to Chipotle instead, because they were open for another hour :-P

ummm

hung out with Kay yesterday, which was good.

I'm still reading Animal Farm. It's taking a while to get through because I have to keep stopping because it makes me angry. I can't even really use the "It's fiction! Get over it!" deal, because it's an allegory. *sigh*

I met Claire yesterday! Over Skype! She's Kaite's host-sister, and she's gonna come visit for a month! Super excited! If you can't tell by the exclamation points! She's cute :-) I think we'll have lots of fun.

Other than that, I've just been filling my time with work and not-work. And missing Kent people. :-( And creeping on them on Facebook as a result. But I'm kinda really looking forward to the fall. Hopefully I won't wish away the summer!

A Summary of the Past What? Two Weeks?

What is there to say?

I have been working a lot. I had a crazy week last week when I worked 9 out of the 11 days from 5 am until I was done, which meant anywhere from 9 to 1. Most likely 12 or 1... yeah. I was so glad when that week was over!

Lots of work, a little hanging out at Kent with Em and Kristen... hanging out with Karen girls, who brighten my life... Missing LT people... yeah, that's about my life. I'm still trying to make my room look decent, but I have too much stuff. Too much paper that I do not have the time or the energy to sort through.

some day though?

Maybe.

For now, I will eat dinner and hopefully talk to some peeps.

It's a short update, but my life is pretty boring right now.

An Update

I almost feel like I should be updating my blog too, since so many of my friends are doing it for LT. However, my life isn't as crazy busy or as exciting as their's, so we'll see how this goes. :-)

I worked Dining room at Panera last night, which was fun! Since I had closed dining room for 15 months before leaving for college, I had the system down pat! It was a lot of fun, but I have a feeling I'll like making sandwiches better. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see if the novelty wears off. :-)

I've been trying to get all my pictures up from the past year at college onto Facebook. It's been quite interesting realizing how much I've gotten to know some of these people. When I first walked up to Arooj and Joyce talking that first week at Kent, I had noooo idea that Joyce would be my floormate this next year! How sweet is that? And just getting to know so many people from h2o and classes and stuff... it's been sweet. I miss everyone tons, but that's summer I guess.

I am going to see some peoples next week though, so that'll be fun :-) The part that won't be so much fun is working... at 5 am... Sat, Mon, Tues, and probably Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat too... The usual prepper is on vacation, so I'm picking up her shifts. It'll be good, but that's a lot of mornings of waking up before the sun! beh.

I haven't unpacked completely, but now there's only piles of papers and a couple things on the floor in my room that I have to deal with, but other than that, I'm done. Yes, I'm aware that it's almost 3 weeks since I came home, but I haven't been very motivated to do anything other than read. I've read: Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone, The Hobbit, the Twilight series (four books), Hope was Here, the Wednesday Wars, and I'm working on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Animal Farm, and Lynchpin. yup. :-)

I've also been playing a lot of George Winston.

I have no life :-)

I think that's it for now, I guess. I'll catch y'all later!
