This is my normal weekday schedule. For those who are homeschooled, try not to get bored as I tell what I do for school, as you do the same (almost).
I wake up between 7:00 and 7:30, and read my bible. Then I make my bed, eat breakfast, etc. My breakfast is usually cereal. Then I "go to school"-- go to the back room called the school room, and start on math. I just do the homework the moment I learn what to do. That's for the public school people. Then I do Reading and Dictation and Spelling, and sometimes Creative Writing, and Wordly Wise and Vocabulary From the Classical Roots Up (yuck!!), and Analogies and once I'm done with what I have to do that day, (thank goodness I don't have to do all of that every day!!) Mom reads to Abby (my younger sister) and me-- like History, and History, and History, and Science, and History, and Poems. Then there's the "fun book" which is like "The Witch of Blackbird Pond", or "I, Juan de Paraja." We're going to do "The Westing Game" soon. if you haven't read Westing Game, I suggest you read it, and give time for speculation. It's really no fun if you read through all at one time, and had no time to think things out.
After read alouds is free time, when I come up here and write in my blog, or read, or take a jog or bike ride or walk around the neighborhood, or play with the neighborhood kids.
On Mondays, Abby and Dad have soccer practice in the evening (Dad's the coach) and I help. I'm too old for in-house. The oldest in-house team is u10. Then there's travelling soccer, for kids my age, but travelling is a lot more expensive and inconvient. Also Katie, my older sister, has dance, and Mom goes with her.
On Tuesdays, Abby and I have dance, but we're in different classes, and there's a toe class in between. We're there from 4pm to 7pm. Katie has gymnastics with me after my dance class,
and Abby has her's after her dance class. We have a recital June 5th, (Sunday.) We're finishing up our songs.
On Wednesdays, it's soccer in the evening.
On Thursdays, I think is free day, with nothing going on but school
On Fridays, we sometimes have piano and art. Art is with our homeschool group, and we paint and hang out. Piano is in the morning, and our teacher goes to our church. Katie and I might have to change teachers soon, as our teacher taught us all she knows. With Katie, it's not a "Might", it's a "Have To."
On Saturdays, we all sleep in, usually, except in the soccer season, then we get up early for the soccer game. Last Saturday, we won 2 to 1. It was the first game of the season, and they did great!! Usually, in the first game they're just standing around trying to remember what to do. Not this season!
On Sundays, we get up early to go to church, where we stay untill about 1pm, and come home, and have free time, before going back to church to have youth group. It takes us twenty minutes to get to church and dance.
I'm sure I bored you out of your mind, but I had to get the basics down. I'm too neat.
